If you’re anything like I used to be, you have a full closet. Yep, that thing is full. It’s full of workout clothes and impulse clearance finds that have yet to be touched. It’s full of special occasion outfits and those skinny jeans that you only wear for girl’s night out. It’s full of blazers from long forgotten job interviews and sweatpants for those lazy Saturday nights.
Does this sound like what’s inside your closet?…I thought so.
I bet I can also guess what’s not in your closet: A uniform that will facilitate the all work that you need to do today. Clothing that’s not only comfortable but that fits you well, presents you professionally, and makes you feel like a total badass who’s ready to rock your day.
Think about it. What are you reaching for every morning when you get out of bed? For me, for a long time, it was my $10 Target t-shirts, knit pants, and a sweatshirt. Yep. That’s how I showed up for my day. Is this how I would ever show up to do work at the office? I don’t think so.
And whether you work from home or not, I’m guessing that you’re doing more than just lounging in your loungewear. Am I right? You’re cooking dinner, raising babies, dreaming about your future, working on your side hustle, practicing wellness, building your best life. And you owe it to yourself to be investing in these things and investing in how you show up for them.
Don’t believe the lie that you only need to invest in how you show up when it’s for others. Because what really matters is how you show up for yourself. Do you have a wardrobe that serves you and facilitates your work?
If the answer is ‘no’, download my free guide where I break down how to define your lifestyle needs so you can create a closet full of pieces that will serve you.
